REVIEW: GRAEMAZING: LEVEL 7 WIZARD (SPOILER FREE)
What does it mean to be a Level 7 Wizard? Graeme Reed is here to show you. Reed, a self-described “overachiever,” delights the audience with his card magic, slight of hand and mind reading capabilities with 30 years experience and more than an abundance of charm.
If magic keeps you young at heart, Reed is proof with a playful demeanour and cheeky misdirection throughout his set. He easily segues into each magical feat and the show’s progression is very well-paced. This show relies heavily on audience participation, so please, come prepared to play along. The audience will be involved in several unique feats and Reed keeps everything casual and yet, extremely engaging. Both audience and wizard must to be willing to play, otherwise the magic is lost.
As difficult as it is to review a magic-based show without spoiling things, know that the show is family-friendly and that the hour flies by while watching Reed remind us all of the nostalgia of the 90’s and audience members of all ages dropping their jaws upon the reveals. It truly is a wonderful mix of Blue’s Clues meets Sherlock Holmes.
Reed is a natural and talented addition to this year’s Fringe and is more than deserving of your support. One might say he has definitely earned his “Graemazing” namesake. Don’t miss it!
